Step-by-Step Process

1

Initial Contact & Site Assessment

1-3 Days

You contact us with your inquiry. Within 24 hours, we'll schedule a free, no-obligation site assessment at your home.

What We Assess:

  • Roof condition, angle, and orientation
  • Electrical panel age and capacity
  • Shading from trees or buildings
  • Your energy needs and usage patterns
  • Any required repairs or upgrades

What We'll Discuss:

  • System size recommendation
  • Estimated savings and ROI
  • Battery options (if interested)
  • Government rebates and incentives
  • Financing options

What You Get: Free site assessment, detailed proposal with pricing breakdown, and honest advice (if solar isn't right for you, we'll tell you).

2

Design & Quote Approval

3-5 Days

Our design team creates a customized system design for your home. You'll receive a detailed quote with all costs transparent—no hidden fees.

Your Quote Includes:

  • System size and component list
  • Equipment and labor costs
  • Permit and inspection fees
  • Government rebates applied upfront
  • Financing options
  • Warranty details
  • 7-day cooling-off period

Next Step: Review your proposal. If you have questions, we're happy to explain anything in detail. When ready, sign the contract to move forward.

3

Permits & Paperwork

5-7 Days

We handle all permit applications, electrical authority notifications, and paperwork. You don't have to do anything—we manage everything.

What We Handle:

  • Building permits
  • Electrical authority notifications
  • Rebate paperwork (STCs)
  • Insurance documentation

Timeline Note:

Permit approval times vary by council. Typical timeframe is 5-7 days, but can be longer during busy periods.

We'll update you: We notify you once all permits are approved and installation can begin.

4

Installation Day

1 Day

Our professional installation team arrives at your home on the scheduled day. Most residential solar installations take 6-8 hours.

Your Installation Day Includes:

1

Morning Preparation (30 min)

Our team arrives and prepares materials. We'll brief you on the day's schedule.

2

Roof & Panel Installation (4-5 hours)

Solar panels are mounted to your roof using modern racking systems. Installation is clean and safe.

3

Electrical Work (2-3 hours)

Inverter, switchboard upgrades, and wiring are installed and tested per electrical standards.

4

System Testing (1 hour)

We test all electrical connections, verify safety switches, and confirm system performance.

5

Handover & Training (30 min)

We walk you through the system, show you the monitoring app, and answer all your questions.

What You Need to Know: Your power will be temporarily disconnected during installation (typically 30 min - 1 hour). We'll let you know the exact timing. Have water and snacks available for our team—they work hard!

5

Inspection & Connection

1-2 Days

After installation, a council electrical inspector verifies the system meets all safety standards. Once approved, your system is connected to the grid.

Inspection Process:

  • Council inspector visits your home
  • System is checked against standards
  • Certificate of Compliance issued
  • Grid connection activated

After Connection:

  • Your system begins generating energy
  • You can monitor energy in real-time
  • You start receiving energy bill credits
  • Your STC discount is applied upfront, before installation — you don't wait for a rebate or handle the paperwork

Important Timelines & Notes

Weather Delays

Installation may be postponed if weather conditions are unsafe. We'll reschedule as soon as possible—your safety is our priority.

Roof Repairs

If we discover roof issues during assessment, repairs must be completed first. This may extend your timeline by 1-2 weeks.

Switchboard Upgrades

If your electrical panel needs upgrading, this is completed during installation. We'll discuss costs during the design phase.

We Keep You Updated

We send a weekly progress update by email or text. You'll always know where your project stands and what's happening next.

If Timeline Slips

If delays extend beyond our control, we offer compensation or discount to our customers. Transparency and accountability are core to our service.
